What the app records

Omfavn records audio in your home, when you start a recording. It records the room, not a single person, so everyone present is on the recording: you, your partner, your children, and anyone else who happens to be there.

People who are not part of your household

If someone outside your household is in the room, ask them before you record. A friend visiting, another family’s child, a grandparent. They have not agreed to anything by being in your kitchen.

What happens to a recording

Recordings leave your phone. They are transcribed, separated by speaker, and analysed, and that is what Oline’s written reflection is produced from.

The closed beta sign-up

The sign-up form is run by Tally, a Belgian form service. It stores what you write about your family and your email address on servers in Belgium. We use them only to contact you about the closed beta, and you can ask us to delete them at [email protected].

Omfavn is in development and the full privacy policy is not published yet. This page covers the part that affects what you do in your own home. The complete policy, naming every service that processes a recording and how long anything is kept, comes before the app is available to anyone outside Kinami.
